The end-of-term disco is on Friday 6 July (last day of term), which means it’s time for the kids to get their groove on!
And as per tradition, the Family and Friends of Blue Gum (FFBG) are organising a parent get together at Wilbur’s Cafe while the disco is on. Festivities all round!
Please let your CLP know if your family are planning to go, so that we can confirm catering.

Official Opening of the Hackett Preschool THIS SUNDAY!

As an extra special addition to Slow Sunday this year, we are pleased to announce that it will coincide with the official opening of our fabulous new preschool, at 12pm on Sunday.

We welcome ACT Education Minister Yvette Barry MLA to celebrate this momentous occasion, and are grateful for the ACT Government Grant and generous contributions from our school community that enabled this wonderful space to be created.

Please join us at 12pm in the new preschool amphitheatre at our Hackett campus, and stay on to enjoy Slow Sunday!

Slow Sunday Update

Unfortunately, due to safety issues, we will not be offering coffee at this year’s Slow Sunday.

While you are welcome to bring your own coffee, and/or thermos of hot drink of your choosing, there are not sufficient structures in place for us to offer this safely in a community environment.

You will still, of course, be able to warm your hands on a delicious cup of homemade soup, and a gentle reminder to bring your own soup cup/bowl in the interest of environmental friendliness.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Slow Sunday

It’s almost time for our annual Blue Gum community gathering! Join us on Sunday 2nd June at our Hackett campus and enjoy the food, drink and enjoy the social event of the year.

Our students have been excitedly preparing their explorations for us to experience, and look forward to sharing their discoveries for you.

As usual, the Families and Friends of Blue Gum will be hosting a range of food & drink options to purchase on the day, and we’re asking for volunteers to bake and/or help serve on the day. Sign up at
