Last FFBG Meeting for 2014

Coming up in Week 4 on Wednesday the 5th November at 7:30pm is the final Families & Friends of Blue Gum meeting for the year. It will be  held at our Hackett Campus in the meeting room next to the front office.

Clare Randall, one of our primary school educators, will explore the important concept of Visual Literacy with parents – your chance to gain greater insight into the rich complexity and understandings that underpin Picture Books; you’ll never view them the same way again!

Blue Gum’s educators are passionate, devoted and inspirational professionals. They are one of main reasons we send our kids to this school and these meetings are a great  opportunity to learn more from them about how our kids are being taught. You also get a chance to ask them questions outside of the classroom environment.

There will be an update from the President of FFBG and one from Maureen Hartung, including an opportunity to ask them any questions you may have. As always wine and nibbles will be provided, we hope to see you there.

All Blue Gum Parents and Carers Welcome!

  1. Thanks for the message. But it is the same night as the David Price’s educational seminar (6-8pm) as mentioned in the previous post. It may be a difficult date for those who are interested in attending both meetings.

    • We are aware of the clash unfortunatly we only recently found out about David Price’s seminar. We have been promoting this FFBG meeting for some time now and they always land on Wednesday night in Week 4 each term, as approved by the school. If you are wanting to attend both I would suggest possibly leaving David’s seminar a bit early and arriving late for FFBG’s meeting. The presentation by Clare on Visual Literacy won’t begin until around 8pm.
