No, these are not new events that FFBG is planning – but now that I have your attention, please note the Families and Friends of Blue Gum Annual General meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 13th August starting at 7:30pm in the meeting room at Hackett Campus.
The FFBG constitution states that the maximum time a person can hold the same executive position is two years, and unfortunately my two years are drawing to a close (so I may have a bit more time to improve my Dutch before a trip to the Netherlands in 2015 for my Dad’s 80th birthday, and to learn to play the ukulele!).
While I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as president and will continue to be involved with FFBG, it is time for new faces on the committee bringing with them new ideas, new energy and different perspectives. Some of the current committee members will be staying on to provide assistance.
So please consider taking on an executive position or just joining the committee – the work is not overwhelming and it’s a great way to give back to the community while picking up new skills and experiences, or honing and polishing rusty ones.
If you would like to talk to me about what’s involved in being on the committee please send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org .

Families & Friends of Blue Gum – Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 13th August 2014 at 7:30pm
Meeting Room, Hackett Campus
Please come to the FFBG Annual General Meeting, and consider nominating for a position on the committee. Nominations can be made on the night.
After the AGM there will be an opportunity to ask Maureen Hartung (Blue Gum’s Executive Director) questions. This will be followed by a parent education session on Blue Gum’s Outdoor Education Program, presented by Sophia Williams.
We hope to see you there!
